A combination of blue light and red light is proven effective at treating acne by alleviating current outbreaks and preventing new ones.  When blue light is emitted at 415 nm it has an antibacterial effect and is highly effective at killing bacteria which helps to prevent breakouts.  Red light wavelengths at 600 – 700 nm is effective at soothing inflammation and stimulating cell regeneration, repair and healing.
